Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, fiends, and dark forces growing in influence within the urban setting.
Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the main group to embark on their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.
This warrior group includes the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at one table would be impossible.
This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.
Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, striking the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
Casimir then paid off his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
- The adventurer knows the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- But, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the party access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This leaves them few options but to head to Timmony in quest for the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight participants to form the Questers and Schemers parties.
Fans can expect learning which characters will be in which group in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on October 24.
