Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned rituals and terrifying transformations reverberate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.
The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an special katana alongside numerous items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Update
This release also introduces the game's latest free story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
